You got nothing to lose by making a few phone calls kid, even if you have to join the union, its a good thing.

Best of luck to you

Most single family home construction is not union, and low paying with little benefits if at all. Large, heavy, and industrial construction is where most union jobs will be found. Making contact with the building trades apprenticeships would be a great place to start.

Well then the OP will not be able to stay in Las Vegas because we certainly aren't seeing any large, heavy and industrial construction coming down the pipeline any time in the near future.

Sorry kid, we tried, lol

I'm from the North and don't see daily events in the Vegas area. I do know there's a lot of people in Tonopah on the solar project. There must be highway improvements going on, schools, and there's crews constantly remodeling on the strip. I'm told trained building trades are going to be in shortage soon. Also, my uncle told me years ago that when money gets tight you'll see retail, and multi family residential being built. Some take advantage of the down economy knowing they'll never build this cheap again.
