I miss being able to run stadium bleachers in my hometown. Any good ideas or locales for some heart pounding elevation exercises, ie. hills or stairs?

I see people running up the bluff on Sunset, up the hill from Stephanie. There are also some pretty steep dirt paths up the Black Mountains off Horizon Ridge.

Thanks. I need to check it out. Are there any restrictions like gates or park hours. Not familiar with area as I'm from the north.

Get it done before the heat hits. If you might want to check out the specials gyms may be running to lock in a good membership now for the months when the sun is blazing. Running in the Vegas heat can get a person a ride in an ambulance.

I'm looking to get outside while the getting is good. I belong to the Y and can go to Nellis but there's no better workout than an outdoor workout in my opinion.

Check out the Western Beltway Trail. You can start off in Spring Valley around Peace Way and Fort Apache. There is an entrance to the trail next to the convenience store. It will be paved track but an uphill climb all the way around to Lone Mountain and beyond. Around Cheyenne and Cliff Shadows Parkway you can go off track and take the desert trail.

Saw this on Facebook the other day, and it's somewhat fitting: " If they ever find my body on a running trail, just know that I was murdered and dumped there"
