I think the original story circulating that he was so called "cheating" is pretty well impossible unless a casino agreed to "change" their rules at the request of a special player or a whale who has a single agreement with that particular hotel.

There is still alot of shoe and double deck games around town that pay 3-2. Nothing has really changed.

Hey Moj. Which ones don't have continuous shuffle machines? I live closer to Boulder Station so you know the area. The 3-2 is beneficial but certainly it's the dealing that makes the difference. Any idea which places still use a shoe? ...and don't even get me going on the Dealer Hit Soft 17...Oh, and I found this link which was last updated not too long ago...It's pretty informative.

Funny how this whole story plays out especially with the last one about Phil Ivory cheating in Atlantic city. I think the old Mob had a way to deal with this called a hammer lol. I just chuckle about poker players especially the one I knocked out of a tournament who claimed he was a professional and gave lessons on how to play and asked me if I wanted any lessons. Second round I sent him packing it was the high light of my week. Luck is a big factor most of the time.

Yes. He 99.44% pure; the other .56% reads the edges of cards.

I heard that he took them for 800k a year or two ago... so I guess they got tired of his AP.

it's amazing what happens to the House Edge when you introduce a stand on soft 17!

What's amazing is that they just don't shuffle the cards earlier since hitting soft 17 isn't that big of a deal and neither is standard card BJ card counting. There is more money to be made counting the side bets than there is counting the actual game or worrying about soft 17. I'm actually suspicious that they care if he was 'too good" or not since it is easy to counter too good if you know who is counting.
