Hello my fellow LV residents. I have a question for you all. We are looking for our first house and I noticed today while we were driving by a few houses south of 160 in southwest, let's say the intersection of Cactus and Durango, that our cells phones dropped all bars. Mine is T Mobile and her's is Cricket. I was wondering if any of you who use Verizon, ATT, or other services have better reception in the area south of 160 in SW LV? Mainly the Mountains Edge community area but in the new developments further south away from Hwy 160. Thx for any info.

Wikipedia says that if your Cricket phone is CDMA, it uses Sprint's network, if it's GSM/3GPP it uses AT&Ts. So you already know the reception for one of those networks.

I live in the area you're describing and I can tell you that I don't get great reception at home. I have AT&T. Just realized I bumped this thread from 2014, but I would like to know if anyone has Verizon in Mountains Edge. If so how is it?

My friend lived in the SW and her cell coverage was always spotty during calls too. I never put two and two together.

I had AT&T in Mts. Edge (Buffalo & Erie). Signal wasn't great but it worked.

I've had all of them and none of them have good coverage in SW. They all seem to be colo'd on the same towers. If you can get a decent signal outside you can install a repeater system or one of the picocell gadgets like a Cell-Fi that you can stick in a window.
