When I review the stats for gambling revenue every month in the paper, and see the astounding results for the Boulder Strip, that speaks volumes! How many tourists, from the Strip, frequent the Boulder Strip casino's?

The percentage that come to Vegas, just to gamble, is now down to? 25+%?

So, the question is, what's keeping Stations Casino's so profitable in the Vegas Valley?

I last gambled (pennies) when the Western Hotel & Casino closed. I used to go there 2X a year, when my penny jar filled up, and fed them to the non-electronic penny slot machines, I believe the last of the old-fashioned penny slots of any casino in town. Now that was fun, and dirty, as my fingers would turn black scooping up the pennies into my plastic cup!

I absolutely refuse to play the electronic penny machines!

So until some casino brings back the old-time penny slots, my days of gambling are over!

We vacationed here every couple of years for over 30 years. Gambled every day.

We moved here the end of October last year. Neither of us has gambled yet.

I am (honest!) going to sit down at a poker or Blackjack table next year. Really, I am.

I moved here because of the availability of gaming options here combined with the entertainment and awesomeness of the strip.

Why the hell would anyone live here if gambling wasn't an activity they are interested in? There are jobs all over the country.
I moved here in oct. wasn't a gambler before and since I've been here I've played VP exactly once. Back in the 70's I could bloe $500 in a nite on champagne and coke and be very happy but if I lost that much $ gambling it would make me sick! So that's why I don't have an urge to gamble and don't. Why did I move here? My son lives here and cheap rent

The first couple of years, we played blackjack probably about once/week. If we won $50 or lost $50 we stopped. Nowadays, it is more like once/month.

Mrs. SportyandMisty puts $1 in a penny slot machine every time we are in a casino to see a movie or live entertainment. It makes us both angry. Let's say after a couple spins her total is now up to $1.48. I'll say "cash out! you have a 48% return!" which makes her angry. She wants to play, she says, so she continues, which makes me angry.

First it's just a dollar. Then another dollar. Before you know it, your wallet is empty. So that is why just that one dollar will set off Mr and Mrs Sporty and Misty.

If a dollar in a slot machine (I never play slots) causes that kind of difficulty then they should never go into a casino.
