Hello,
I'm very new to this forum and hoping that you guys could help me out and give me your opinions on beauty industry in vegas.
I'm currently living in the bay area. Living out here gettiing so much expensive that my husband and I are talking about moving to vegas next year. I'm going to beauty school to get esthetician license so I could get into eyelashes extensions and microblading eyebrows business. I've been to Vegas few times as a tourist so I have no idea on beauty industry out there. Does anyone know about the business in eyelashes extensions and eyebrows? I feel like moving to another state is such a big thing that I want to prepare and research as much as I could before we get there and make sure that the time and money that I'm investing to be an esthetician I would like to know what is going to be like.
Thank you!

If you are considering moving here from the Bay Area, you'll want to visit right now and see if you can tolerate the climate.

^^^Good advice! You need to come here when it's really hot!

I have never used these services but it seems to me there is nails/eyebrow place in just about every strip mall. So there is competition. You would have to do a better job for less money. When you come check it out, cruise the areas where we actually live and go in to all these places and see what they are charging and offering.

There is one person here who'd I'd let microblade my brows. OP might know who I'm talking about, she's pretty well known in the industry. Some here don't know what they are doing and are horrible.

I know one of the salons I go to the extension gals there made a fortune. One moved to Utah and the other got pregnant and quit. Lots of money in that.

I was there about a week so I dont know how its like to be hot all summer but we will see. Thank you for the advise!

Are you going to depend on walk ins initially? Can that even be done with what you do? Or do you plan on advertising?

Actually walk in sounds like a good idea because usually they do appointment only but I dont know how its going to work because one session takes about 45mins up to 90mins and if you do by yourself its going to be hard for walk in customer they might have to wait if they come in while I'm dealing with othet customer. And yes I'm planning on advertising.
