Anyone tried the free service? You just order online, pick up in store (you stay in the car they load it up) The same price as in-store. This include perishables. Wonder if it's any good. (they pick the fruit, meat etc for you)

So anyone tried the pickup and delivery? (Delivery I think got 10 dollars fee)

They pick the perishables is something that would concern me.

I've ordered online with free 2nd day shipping. I am thinking about trying the free pickup but not for perishables.

I have my groceries delivered by Smith's and they waive the delivery fee if you buy a certain dollar amount of featured products. I am very happy with this service.

Wow that's really nice. What is the certain dollar amount one must meet?

I honestly don't have a hard time meeting the dollar amount without spending needlessly on items. I think last time it was Stouffers products. I think around 20 dollars and I had no problem meeting that minimum.

It changes each time as far as what the featured merchant is. I usually do tip the delivery person since they are the ones that actually shop the food for you as well. They are always very nice.

I've used this service at the Walmart on Ft Apache and Tropicana and they do require a $30 minimum order, however think about it, how hard is to leave Walmart without paying over $100? I only order non-perishables because I wouldn't want someone else choose my vegetables/fruits or food that expires. It is so convenient and fast. I don't even have to turn off my car.

I've used the Walmart pickup service twice. The first time was brilliant -- frozen food kept frozen, refrigerated items were appropriately cold, produce they selected for me was pretty much what I'd have chosen myself in terms of quality. The second time it went pretty well except one frozen item was left out of the order and it required driving back to Walmart and getting friendly help from a clerk inside the store; I'd also ordered a couple of avocados, and unfortunately the ones chosen for me were too small and over-ripe so I couldn't use them but it wasn't worth complaining about. So my feeling is that packaged items are fine for ordering/pickup, but I don't think I'll rely on them for produce.

Personally, when I get to the long stop signal down the block from Walmart, I connect to the Walmart app on my tablet and check in; when I drive up, a clerk has gathered my order, comes out, places the bags and things in my trunk and gives me a receipt and a cold bottle of water and bids me a good day. What's not to love about that!

Anyway, to me it's still a big help, and when I did have that snafu, they could not have been nicer about making sure I got what I ordered and they genuinely apologized -- they made it right. I will definitely continue using Walmart's drive-up pick-up service. Btw, this was the Walmart Superstore in Centennial.

You couldn't pay me to eat Walmart food. Don't you know that is the cheapest (and low quality) place to buy anything? Bananas grown in Roundup, Lettuce grown in Dow Corning. Totally legal and it won't kill you now, but no thanks.

I think the OP was asking if anyone tried their free service, but thank you for sharing your riveting life story
