From all the pictures and videos I’ve seen I’m worried about my trip in 18 days . I’m worried the pool is going to be swarmed by millions of grasshoppers and they will be all over outside . It seems like you can’t even hang outside or eat outside

And it remain weird. We have been extensively on both corners of town and have not seen one. We have not been on the strip or downtown but have passed both on the 15 and 95.

And our big hunter cat has not brought one in which he is sure to with any catch. In fact with heavy grasshoppers we would have to lock him inside. At the moment the patio doors are wide open and the pool cover shows not a single insect.

I wonder if the lights of the strip attracted the passing migration but the dark suburbs did not.

I was there this past weekend and it was fine. I hate bugs and it really wasn't a big deal. We spent the entire time in the pool and occasionally you had to shoe one away but it wasn't a big deal at all. The pictures online are overblown hyperbole. Just a random shot of a really bad moment. Imagine that the media posting videos and pictures that makes people react!

Some of the pictures, especially by NBC look like file photos that don't even look like lv.

Last weekend while downtown, I saw a bunch and then clusters around bright lights at night, but not seeing any in the NW Valley now. Short lived phenomenon.

I live in NW also, hardly see any. When the hoopla started I saw many when we went to Downtown Summerlin- all over the walls & getting in your face. That was it. Crazy its making national news.

They have been pretty bad here in Henderson, but they are declining rapidly. I am almost certain they will be completely gone in 18 days.
