Hi!
I'm graduating from college in Florida in December and planning to move out there in January. I'm taking a trip in September to look at places to live and so far from this site gather that Summerlin is more what I'm looking for. However no one seems to mention the age range of people that live in these areas. I don't know anyone out there so I REALLY want to find somewhere to live (I'm looking to rent in the $500-$800 range) that has a lot of people in my age range (21-30) while at the same time is relatively safe. Any suggestions? Specific Apartment complexes/ neighborhoods/ areas, would be great!

Also, suggestions on local nightlife (the strip could get to pricey) and other places to meet people in my age range would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks for the help!

There's apartments on West Sahara like Indian Sprngs et el. I believe they are around 700-800. It's not Summerlin.

There's apartment guide booklets at all the markets.

Myself and my family are moving to Summerlin, next month from Virginia. We were in Vegas 2 weeks ago lookiing at areas. You will definitely not find anything in that price range for Summerlin. With that price range you problably will not be in a nice safe area. My nephew is currently attending UNLV, and he is graduating in May of 2009. He is renting a very nice Condo for $1600 a month in SW Las Vegas, however he does have 2 roommates. If you want to live in the nicer areas I would consider getting a roommate or 2.

Good Luck

You can get a decent one bedroom in the southwest (around Tropicana and Jones) for just about $700 a month. Look into Renaissance Villas and surrounding complexes.

Sorry I probably should have mentioned that I don't plan to live by myself. I'll be living with at least 2-3 roommates, I was just wondering where would be a good place to find others my age. Thanks!

I agree.
You won't get a decent place for that range.I have had to raise my target price a few times over the last year.Vegas might be the only place where luxury apartments won't get deliveries from the pizza guy. What I am trying to say,Vegas apartments are hit and miss no matter where they are at or the price range.Use apartmentratings.com in your searches.
