Does anyone remember this attraction in Las Vegas? My parents were there in 96 for their anniversary and my mom remembers this, but we couldn't find anything really about it being in Vegas (it was also at Universal Studios). Where was it? Thanks for your help!

The only thing I can think of, that was here back in 96' that might be considered "Waterworld-ish" was as MacGeek mentioned, the original Pirate Show at Treasure Island.

Perhaps your folks saw that at TI and took it to be a "spin" on the Waterworld movie like the attraction that was at Universal/Hollywood.

Treasure Island Hotel Casino was actually named and themed after the movie "Treasure Island" hence the pirate/swashbuckler motif and the nightly pirate ship battle outside the front of the property in Buccaneer Bay. A bit of trivia...the hotel is built on the land that was originally the Mirage's parking lot, lol.

It's all been changed to "Sirens of TI" and less of the pirate theme nowadays.
