Hi,
We were approached by Tru Talent about our 4 year old son being in commercials. They want $1000 for his pictures and stuff. Does anyone know if they are legit or anything about them. Also which agents are legit in Las Vegas.
Thanks for your advice in advance. I read this forum often and have really learnt alot from your wealth of knowledge.

Remember what PT Barnum said. There's a lot of Barnum's in LV.

You shouldn't have to pay for pics if they really believe your son has a shot. Sounds like a scam to me.

Modeling Agencies charging big bucks for pics is an old old scam. I used to supervise convenience stores all over NC and SC in towns and cities of all sizes. At least twice a year some employee would tell me about their good fortune of being 'selected'. If it wasn't them it was their kid or sister or girlfriend.

It almost competes with docotor visits today...here go have this blood test done and come back in 2 weeks when I'll tell ya to go get another blood test and come back in two weeks....that'll be $175 thank you.

I have heard that if an agency is truly interested in your child and thinks they can make money off your child, then you will not have to pay anything. I have a friend who signed with trutalent (I think she paid $800 for a photo shoot) and her son was in a photo shoot for pediped shoes. He didn't end up getting the ad, but he was in the top 2. I think they recieved free shoes. We are planning to interview with them, however, I will not shell out $1000 for a photo shoot...
