I moved here in october and spend hours every day looking for work. I must have a world record on applications filled, I have worked 30 years in Corrections plus my degrees and still cannot find work, unbelievable isn't it, Just curious, what happens to those with no work background

That's scary. I always figured Corrections was one career that is always hiring. I suppose you have to live in the state for one year to qualify as a resident, right?

Have you tried P&P? You might have to go to airport security or something of that nature just to get work. Good luck on your job search.

No work background in Vegas = immediately hired, this way they can pay them however much they want to

Have you tried California Dept of Corrections? They have so many prisons and prisoners, I'm sure they are looking for a few good men.

I know that the Sheriff's Dept is hiring Bailiffs for the court system around here, find the website and you can send in an app pretty easily...
