I've always been fascinated with the culture, history, entertainment and images of the old time Las Vegas Strip & Casinos. Does anyone have any pictures/stories that they could post of the beginning days of The Strip and Downtown? Traffic, Hotels, Marquees, Pool Scenes, etc... Thanks!

The Las Vegas News Bureau, a section of Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has captured Las Vegas in photos since early times. They are a part of the authority's Public Relations Department. They would probably allow an interested party to go through their archives.

I've been to several of the programs put on by the Friends Of Classic Las Vegas at the Nevada State Museum at Twin Lakes/Lorenzi Park. Heard some interesting talks by well known old timers about the good old days.
