If you go to the "sticky" at the top of this forum you'll find a link to the USCIS website from which you can determine what sort of visa you'll need in order to live and work in the US. If you have special skills in your field and there is no US citizen who can qualify, an employer may sponsor you for a visa but first you have to find such an employer with such an open position.
There are almost no employers hiring overseas trained nurses anymore unless you have advanced skills. New York, along with California, are two of the least foreign trained RN friendly States.
Want to work as RN in US? Need the US certification completed as RN. Then find a location that will hire you. Most of the time it will be in a very rural location. There is a specific visa for RN's.

No there isn't. There used to be but it is not available any longer unless you hold an advanced degree in a specialty.
