Hey all, as it says in the title I need some accommondation advice. Basicaly I've already found a roomate but I'm still waiting for a reply on my application for a room in the college dorms. The problem with the dorms is that you have to share facilities which is not for me... Anyway, do you think it's possible to find a 2-bedroom/1 bathroom apartment (or "flat" as you Brits call it ) between 800 - 1200 €. Dorm prices start at 600€ and go up to 1000€ (with en-suite facilities). I'm confused a little cause in the dorms you got internet and all the other facilities included in the price whereas renting a house...

Any info is appreciated, websites to check out etc...

Thanks

Hi Michael,
I'm sorry to say but you'll be struggling on that budget to find a 1 bed in central London never mind a 2 bed flat. It depends how far out of London you want to travel. To give you an idea my brother rented a small 2 bed flat in chiswick w4 for 1800 euro's a month and that doesn't include anything other than council tax (property tax). To add utilities (gas, electric, water, tv license, phone and broadband) then I'd say you're looking at another 350-400 Euro's a month.

Have a look at this major london renting site:-

Absolutely not. Go to the dorms. At least youll only be sharing with ONE person as opposed to upwards of 12 (as happens in this **** city).

Check gumtree.com for prices.
