I am broke living here in London (goes without saying for a lot of people I suppose) and need to find some shops that sell less expensive women's clothing. I've already checked H&M and the goodwill shops? Are there any other places to find good bargains?

Primark.

Its hit and miss (like I find H&M tbh) but there are some really nice things amongst the "trendy". Their underwear, home stuff and night clothes are great too.

Go look at the various markets (such as Camden noted above) they have in the towns and there are usually stalls where a variety of clothing is being sold.

How cheap? I'd say Top Shop. Cheaper would be Primark (there's one in Oxford Street, west of Selfridges on the opposite side of the street). Cheaper still would be Oxfam.

Is there a Matalan somewhere accessible -usually in out of town locations.
They have some great clothes in for the winter season, cheaper than H&M and have things for all age groups.Probably not as cheap as PRIMARK, but better quality.

Can shop online or search for a store here

Matalan - Department Home

My friend buys "new" clothes on ebay-think they must be previous seasons or maybe slight seconds, not sure.Mostly monsoon stuff-which IMO is overpriced in their stores anyway.
