Depends what you are driving, your credit score, age and driving record.
Share some of that with us and we can compare apples to apples.

Do you want full collision/comprehensive on Civic and Camry, or just on Civic?
Rough estimate of 1,400 - 1,500 a year. Why don't you call Geico and get a quote.

USAA if you qualify. Geico is nearly as good pricewise.

Do any insurance companies issue car insurance policies by the year?

In my experience it has been 6 month policies.

I used to have Geico and even though there were no accidents nor tickets for years, all they kept on doing was raise my rates because "costs are going up in my area."

So that's my fault with no claims and no tickets?

I got State Farm (who I have the homeowners with) to write a much better policy for me and saved hundreds on Geico.

Geico may be good in the beginning, but once they start eating you alive with rate increases for no fault of your own, I would say start looking around for another insurance company that will make a deal.

Another thing I noticed is that the much-vaunted low cost Progressive insurance has terrible rates on LI. Are their commercials totally lies and they actually have high rates everywhere else or is it just LI that they screw over?

Yes progressive (in the past) was the only insurance for young drivers or drivers who had a bad record (speeding, accidents etc)

Im with Geico and Im at around 1400 per year full coverage 500 deductible for 3 cars.

Ive been with them for 10 years though

Have to agree with I Love LI. We switched from Liberty Mutual two years ago and after shopping three cars,a house and a million dollar umbrella State Farm was by far the best. Progressive was close but I would never give my business to that lefty Peter Lewis.

Paying around 700 every 6 months for full coverage on 1 brand new vehicle. Geico.
I always shop online with the free quotes, just for ****s 'n giggles, and Geico still ends up being cheapest.

I have a squeaky clean driving record, no nothing. Hell, aint even been pulled over in years. Years.
