Right and unless you produce said paid ticket or buy a new one from him/her on the train, you'll endure the wrath of your fellow commuters as the train is delayed as you are greeted by MTA Police, SCPD, or NCPD.
I intend to produce a paid ticket..its just that Choo Choo Charlie is going to have to wait for it. Maybe if more people did that day after day after day, the LIRR would get a message.

Whats that message? If you do this on a normal day to day basis on the same train its not going to solve anything and everyone else is going to get really tired of you really quickly.

They don't stop the train when someone cannot find his/her ticket. The ticket puncher either goes on and comes back later, or waits then and there.
and the police will detain you for what? misplacing your ticket? HA...fool
Disorderly conduct, esp if you do it every day on the same train with the same conductor. Interfering with a train crew is technically a federal crime.
And your point is what, to prove you are being a pain?
Basically yes. The conductors could care less that the service sucks. They just want to put in their time. They are the face of the railroad, the first point of customer service, and they should realize that people are dissatisfied.
So your point is just to be a pain in the butt....
