I once had an agent tell me I could just powerwash the exterior of a fake stucco house she was trying to sell me-- the stucco was only a few years old but looked like it was decades old. Um, no, powerwashing would basically disintegrate the exterior finish. She also told me she has NEVER heard of anyone on Long Island having a problem with fake stucco. I find that hard to believe. I see so many very, very expensive new houses being built with fake stucco. I can see why the look is appealing when done right, but it just seems too risky to me.

as i said early, some of those people working in real estate industry, agents, contractors have no ethnic.
they know for sure the home owner/buyer are in for a big mistake, but they still do it to "earn" a small commission from other's misfortune.
power-wash the stucco? lol, u will will wash away your siding in 10 min
Some like the individuality (on a given block). Then you have those who complain about cookie-cutter houses on Long Island. What do people actually want?
most realtors i've met seem to think every house is perfect
Maybe because they are trying to make the sale and generate their commission. Don't be so naive.....real estate agents have their own agendas, trust me.
Ok so what if the house is built with "real" stucco?
Is there a difference?
