All the dandelion seeds have spread everywhere. What should I do at this point? Two weeks ago, I put down Scotts Turf Builder Starter Food for New Grass. It's not new grass, but the person at homedepot recommend putting this before Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed which will burn the grass.

In the weekend will be the third week, when should I put down Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed or buy a weed spray? Should I mow it? The grass is not even all out yet.

Any recommendations will be appreciated. I included a photo of the situation.

Dig the suckers out of lawn, then reseed with your favorite grass seed.

If you cut the flowers off, they don't have a chance to reseed and spread.. so at least do that first!

I looked at the picture after writing the above. You don't have much grass there to start with. You have weeds. No fertilizer is going to grow grass where very little exists in the first place.

If you have hundreds just kiss the year goodbye and next year put Scotts Step One or Scotts Turf Builder with Weed and Feed down in the beginning of April. It's too late...the seeds are flying all over now.

Lowes... Spectracide. Spray version of this: Amazon.com: Spectracide 95834 Weed Stop for Lawns, 32-Ounce Concentrate: Patio, Lawn & Garden

2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic concentrate is a growth hormone which accelerates the growth & death of these dandelions.

Worked great for me this past week. Your lawn needs more fertilizer too, but deal with this first. Grow grass tall to shade weeds out.

Same thing happened to us the other day. We are on the water and just assumed was related to Sandy. After the heavy rain the other day it was a mess.

I would stay away from those weed killers... they might damage your marijuana plants visible in the photo.
