Currently I am planning a community event which will help raise money for charity. The event will involve local businesses and a raffle to help raise funds. And we will be accepting can good donations for the local food banks.

What are some of your favorite charities?

I'll second St. Judes. It's truly a wonderful charity that never turns any child away.

If it's around this time of year, Long Island Cares, Island Harvest, and Lighthouse Mission could always use as many donations as they could get.

Wounded Warriors and St. Jude are my two favorites. Before the final choice is made be sure to check the Guide-star foundation report for the charities in the running.
