Does anyone know the turn around time for a permit to be issued to remove a tree in the town of Huntington? Has anyone applied for a permit, maybe recently?

Is it in the first 9 or so feet from the street and therefore the responsibility of the town? Or straddling the property line with a neighbor? Otherwise I'd just get out my trusty chainsaw and have at it.
