They're out there. Historical amount of snow. First thing is to keep roads clear enough to navigate. Then bit by bit, piece by piece they'll back track and widen everything up. It's a process. There is a lot of snow to be moved, it doesn't disappear and evaporate at the touch of the plow blade. Thank your lucky stars that Mother Nature has been kind by keeping the temps up. It makes it that much easier to get rid of.
Why does there have to be one of you in every complaint thread? Yes, historical. If your little slice of land had 18" that's probably why you are not a priority.
If you read the original post I didn't mention my slice of land I mentioned the majority of the roads in Nassau County. For work I Drive around the county and most of the roads have only one lane plowed in each direction. For what they take from us in taxes I expect the roads to be plowed in a timely manner.
First 24 hours to have "a" lane continuously open in both directions with a storm like this is more than acceptable.
