I heard that nassau county residents pay a bunch of taxes, such as property taxes, village taxes, and school taxes. So I want to know are all included in the property tax or do you have to pay separate taxes? It would be really helpful if someone can give me a estimate of what they pay, broken down, including how much their house cost and taxes. Thank you.
Village taxes are additional taxes if you live in an incorporated village - not likely at your pricepoint.
County and school taxes are lumped together.
Speak to a mortgage banker. This will come up during your pre-approval process to see your true affordable pricepoint. Assume $10K taxes, with homeowners insurance and potentially mortgage insurance, you're paying $1000 a month before you even factor in the loan.

Don't buy in Hempstead.
Every one pays School and General. For the people in Villages you pay that also. Your question is impossible since each School District has its own tax rate based on many factors. Hempstead as you mentioned in your prior post has a high tax rate due to minimal industry and high end property's.
West Hempstead is fine as long as the school district is West Hempstead or Franklin Square. They are under the town of Hempstead (not Village of Hempstead).
Do not buy a house with Hempstead school district which is the Village of Hempstead. You'll have to pay village taxes in the worst school district on Nassau County. Their taxes are high.
With your budget of 250k-300k, you'll probably find a home that has a lot of issues in West Hempstead.
Taxes can vary from 7k to 10k for a cheap home (with the new assessment).
I suggest looking into Elmont as well.
If an apartment is fine, look into Mineola. It's rare to find a place but they have some 1-2 bedroom apartments that fits your budget. You can get a 2 bedroom, 1 bath for 300k. 1 bedroom can cost 100k-200k. Mineola is very close to the mall too. You can probably take the bus. Co-op taxes are low but you have to pay maintenance fee.
Westbury has plenty of apartments and houses under 300k but not that great schools but a lot better than Hempstead. LIRR transit is also in Westbury. That could be your best choice with your budget.
