Long Island towns most similar to Jersey Shore (Monmouth County) towns? (Long Beach: amusement parks, home)

if you are looking for Seaside Heights/Belmar/Point Pleasant type atmosphere on LI (amusement parks, bars on the boardwalk) ... absolutely not in Nassau/Suffolk counties.
if you are looking for classy towns like Spring Lake ... yes , especially eastern Suffolk county.
Not really, because aside from Long Beach none of these towns are directly on the ocean. LI beaches are on barrier islands. So then come home from work, get back in your car, drive over a bridge, pay a toll...
The upside is almost anyone can go to the beach, they aren't town beaches where you need a "badge" like on the shore.

Long Beach requires a badge and many others will require parking or membership fees to access, really not much better than NJ.

Out east past the Great South Bay the ocean beaches are closer to the neighborhoods. Mastic Beach, Westhampton Beach, Quoque and Hampton Bays are all close proximity to the ocean beach verse neighborhoods to the west, but bridge still needed. East of that from the Hamptons to Montauk all these neighborhoods do not need a bridge, just unnecessary amount of money.
Not really a reasonable commute to Manhattan, but Greenport is adorable.
