Longshot, but what towns could get me under 10k in annual property tax? in either west suffolk or nassau? small home of course and we do not need any schools as twins are now age 21.
Maybe Roosevelt. Didn’t the state take over their school district years back? Actually, I just checked and there is a house with $9990:taxes annually. So, the answer is yes.
Try Lindenhurst, they have some homes with taxes right around the 10k mark.

They exist gotta look, Melville and Dix Hills you can find in rare situations under 5k. 2 small 1300 sq ft capes on a dead end by me both under 4k W/O star. A neighborhood friend has 1600 sq ft cape on 1/2 acre paying $7k and next to him is a new construction paying 15k
This is a 4-room house (four rooms, not bedrooms) and Bank owned, being sold "as is". Buyer also has to pay transfer tax.
They've been trying to sell it since last June.
Isn't Lindenhurst a village? Village taxes aren't usually shown on MLS and other sites.
Also: flood insurance.
