How do you choose a realtor? (Riverhead, Wading River: real estate, houses, buyers)

I'm not sure what realtor to choose or how many to ask for estimates.
This past spring we had someone from Prudential come out, and I thought she gave us a wonderful list of comps and a fair estimate, based on what I've seen around.
But my impression of Prudential is that they deal largely with homes that are more expensive than ours, and I'm not sure we'd get the proper attention (am I correct in this assumption of Prudential?) We have a cape in Riverhead that we bought in 2005. Prudential did just sell the house next door to ours though, and rather quickly after it was listed.
There are smaller agenices here - one represented the seller when we bought, and I believe others as well.
Can anyone recommend a real estate agent in the Riverhead (Wading River -> North Fork) area who is motivated and interested in homes around $350 (that's just a guess of a price on my part).
How many agents do others have come to their homes before choosing which to use?
we used tom moser who posts here. i heard about him by reading his posts. we were difficult buyers. he did a great job for us, will use him again and recommend him to everybody.

I don't think Tom Moser works this far east. Do you, Tom?
I work pretty much all of Nassau and Suffolk, although about William Floyd is pretty much my easterly limit.
