I'm not sure what realtor to choose or how many to ask for estimates.

This past spring we had someone from Prudential come out, and I thought she gave us a wonderful list of comps and a fair estimate, based on what I've seen around.

But my impression of Prudential is that they deal largely with homes that are more expensive than ours, and I'm not sure we'd get the proper attention (am I correct in this assumption of Prudential?) We have a cape in Riverhead that we bought in 2005. Prudential did just sell the house next door to ours though, and rather quickly after it was listed.

There are smaller agenices here - one represented the seller when we bought, and I believe others as well.

Can anyone recommend a real estate agent in the Riverhead (Wading River -> North Fork) area who is motivated and interested in homes around $350 (that's just a guess of a price on my part).

How many agents do others have come to their homes before choosing which to use?

Thank you,
Jen

"laurie on the north fork" who posts on here regularly sounds like a very knowledgeable agent and she is close by to you.

Prudential is a reputable agency, not just for higher end houses. But, more important then what agency you use is which individual agent.

The best way to select an agent is from positive recommendations from people who you know.

I find that, when I am invited to talk to a homeseller, I am either the only agent that they are talking to, or that there are three.

I love my Real Estate agent and I'll use her when I'm ready to sell this house and get off the island. PM me for her info, if you'd like.

I don't think Tom Moser works this far east. Do you, Tom?

I work pretty much all of Nassau and Suffolk, although about William Floyd is pretty much my easterly limit.
