Recently, I saw Splish Splash on a show on the travel channel about water parks. I think it was the 20 biggest or 20 best?

We're planning a trip there in the next 2 weeks or so. Waiting for it to get a little hotter.

Went twice last summer and had a great time!! Weekends are far too crowded though.

We love Splish Splash! Very clean and a lot of fun! So close to home too. I always find the people that say it's "gross" have never actually been

Those water parks are basically gigantic, fecal, petri dishes IMO.

As a kid who grew up on LI and as a camp counselor at a camp that went there every 2 weeks each summer, I can say that Splish Splash has gotten progressively dirtier over the years. The place really is nasty.

Don't believe me? Take a look under the water in the wave pool. There are more bandaids, hairs, and toenails than the nearest pediatrician office's medical waste basket.

IMO the place started going downhill once it caught on with the inner-city/underprivileged/bus set.

It's a shame because it used to be great. Try the waterpark at Six Flags in Jersey instead.
