On Long Island anyway, they seem to be more and more desperate for customers. I wonder if there are a lot of people who journey to the mall at 4:00 a.m. That's when the local malls will be opening their doors on Friday . What is there to buy that isn't available at 8:00 which is more than early enough ?
hell no. I think its a crime that stores even open that early. Its another raging symptom of the "affluenza" this country is sick with.
"I'll get to to the stores before my neighbors & I'll get even bigger, better toys for MY child"
sheeple.
puke puke puke.
Yup, 24 hours from now Tanger Outlets in Riverhead will open for "Midnight madness"!
I will make it a point to be nowhere closer than 5 miles from the nearest mall this weekend.

I don't see that as meaning that stores are desperate for customers (esp in LI)? Do you know if they change their hours in other states?
Isn't it possible that they are opening early to give extra time to shoppers who work during the day or weekends, esp on Black Friday? I don't see what is so wrong with once a year having a sale like that. Esp on the biggest shopping day of the year (and I doubt that it's just a LI thing). People love to shop on that day. It has become a tradition for some people over the years. Me personally, I would rather pass up a sale than deal with the madness but I don't fault anyone for that.

I actually went with my daughter to The Sunrise Mall today (Friday afternoon)
and it really was not that bad. It was somewhat crowded , but no more than usual.
