we looking to own a home in lower syosset area. We found a beautiful home with nice kitchen i really wanted.
But the obstacle here is the electric furnace, which i want to have it changed to gas burner or i may have to quit buying the house.

I heard from the agent that this area has only electric supply.
How do i actually verify on houses having gas supply or chances of converting the furnace to gas..?

i tried to google to find any county sites, but found nothing.
so dissapointing.

Call National Grid and give them the address. If a near-by house has gas, you might be able to bring it in with the help of a plumber/contractor.

If natural gas is not in the area then you can always go with oil or propane. Both are a better option, unless the home has a solar system in it.
