My family and I recently moved to Suffolk and we are looking for a good nursery/preschool for our daughter. We are looking for a school with some sort of curriculum. The school that our now 6 year old son was enrolled in was SUPERB!!! I haven't really found anything comparable. They had a workbook curriculum (which would be great to find in a preschool out here on Long Island), computer labs, lots of playtime, indoor and outdoor playground, cooking lab, science lab, library, language classes, math... and most importantly, the classroom demographic was heterogenous - a nice mix of ethnicities...
At the preschool level, they used something similar to the EnVision Math curriculum, had great age appropriate reading, phonics, color and shape recognition... etc...
The tuition was reasonable... We're not talking $25,000 for preschool... LOL...
We are living in Halesite, which is on the North Shore of Suffolk...
Any help you all could give us would be greatly appreciated!
