Yes, I know there are voting patterns that go along race lines, but that gets complicated when you look at other factors (age, location, etc.); I doubt there's much reason to assume that any growing percentage of white people who may move to or come of age in the city of LA can be counted on to vote along racial lines.

I am wondering why race is a factor in who the mayor is anyway. I want the best person, man or woman, black, white, Yellow, Brown or rainbow collored that can run the city. Saying that I don't live within the city but still the LA mayor is on many peoples radar.

Most Blacks vote for democrats regardless of race. Go look at past voting results, especially Clinton. Nice try though.

I agree that race shouldn't matter, but clearly it does on C-D. This place is littered with threads about racism. It's sick.
