Hello everyone,

I will be relocating from Milwaukee, WI in a couple of weeks for a new job near Culver City (sort of last minute!). I have been searching for an apartment, but since I don't have the ability to get back out there before I actually move, I can't see the neighborhoods.

I saw this residential hotel online, named Westchester Hotel, which is located in Culver City. Does anyone know about this place - is it a fairly safe area, is the hotel dirty or ghetto, etc?

It would just be temporary until I can find a place, but I also don't really want to live with bugs in the room or something like that lol

I couldn't find any reviews on this place, so that alone makes me wonder if the decent price for this hotel comes at a cost.

Thanks!!

What about staying at StayOn Beverly? Google it. It's in a good area of Koreatown that is easily accessible to Culver City and central LA.

I stayed there in June when I visited, it's pretty much a hotel. Unless you absolutely need your temporary place to be in CC.

There is one review I found in the Culver City Patch. If you google westchester hotel culver city patch, there should be link to that review.

The Westchester Hotel I'm inquiring about is at Sawtelle, about a block from Sepulveda in Culver City. I used Google Street View but that isn't a guarantee of a decent neighborhood.

If no one can offer info on the hotel specifically, how about the area? Should I be okay to park my car outside in the hotel parking lot?

Thanks again.

I was there two years ago, so unless something very wild has gone down over there (I doubt it--Culver City Police Department is some of the nation's finest) Yes, you can park your car out and it will be okay. About a block or two away from Sawtelle and Sepulveda, you will find A Von's (a premium supermarket) Marshalls or TJ Maxx, A CVS Pharmacy and your typical fastfood chains like Jack In The Box. Why don't you go to yp.com, type in Westchester Hotel Culver City and get the number, ask for the manager and inquiry about what is in the immediate area? I would describe the area as middle middle class, myself.

And also near Sawtelle & Sepulveda (Seh-puhl-vee-dah) there's a CoCo's Restaurant and Bakery, a casual family dining place that is pretty good for breakfast and dinner.

Great post! I will be doing the same thing in March and I was going to stay in the extended stay hotels but this looks like a better deal.
