Hello ,
Im 24 moving to LA from Europe to study at LACC in August,and i really need help with finding an apartment! so what safe areas not far from LACC would be nice to rent an apartment 600-800$ per month? and would it be hard to find an apartment or a room, and what internet sites except craiglist should i visit for finding rooms and roommates?
and sorry for my bad english if i made some mistakes)

You're moving to LA to go to LACC? Whatever for? To answer your question, you'll find dumps for that amount of money. If you want to pay that little, then you'll have to make do with the areas around LACC, namely Hollywood or East Hollywood. Echo Park isn't far, but because of the overcrowding, it's expensive. You should reconsider what your thinking.....

That's do-able, but you will definitely need roommates. No way could you get your own place on that budget. Check Craigslist.

LACC still has an excellent film program and is LOTS cheaper than USC and more hands-on than USC. Outside of that, I don't really see the point of moving all the way out here just to go to LACC. Oh, and yes, the area around LACC is not desirable, to say the least. Of course, it does have a subway station at Vermont/Santa Monica, but that's it.

Where in Europe are you moving from?

Craigslist is the best site you could find. Why don't you stay at college?
