have a very early flight out of LAX, want to stay nearby and be able to drop car off the night before... but will require that drop off location to be close to the hotel... suggestions?

The Renaissance & The Four Points & Sheraton Gateway all close to Hertz if that's any help. Enterprise Rentacar is near there too. The other rental companies are in that vicinity but not sure exactly where.

You can check the locations on google maps.

call your hotels and see if any of them offer free shuttles to LAX rental car depots.

You could either A) Have the rental car company drop you off at the hotel or B) Have the hotel shuttle pick you up from the rental place and not have to find a hotel that is walking distance.
