Miami takes the number one spot followed by LA while NYC has the most miserable employees in the country. I guess there's something about the sun, heat, and ocean that makes people Happy. Purely anecdotal. If your scenario were true, the 65 out of 75 that my corp paid to move here wouldnt have left.

Cost of living is high, but at least the weather is great, and you get plenty of Vitamin D. Here in NYC its been cloudy for like 4 months, and I am vitamin D deficient my doc tells me.

Someone leaving doesn't necessarily correlate to unhappiness. I just gave my personal experience, and what the findings of the survey we're.
