Miami takes the number one spot followed by LA while NYC has the most miserable employees in the country. I guess there's something about the sun, heat, and ocean that makes people Happy.
I can attest to this I can never stay upset as soon as I walk outside and that beautiful southern California sun smacks me in the face I instantly feel great.

Purely anecdotal. If your scenario were true, the 65 out of 75 that my corp paid to move here wouldnt have left.

Cost of living is high, but at least the weather is great, and you get plenty of Vitamin D. Here in NYC its been cloudy for like 4 months, and I am vitamin D deficient my doc tells me.
