My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area and are staying with someone at this time while we search for our own place, we’re only able to stay here temporarily. What are some safe, lower cost areas to rent? Looking to preferably rent a room than a whole place. I already have a job and he’s doing some PA work, we don’t mind a commute, but he does have to go DTLA for some jobs. Any tips or direct would be helpful!

Ah another in search of the unicorn of safe + cheap. Not an easy task as there is a reason expensive places are expensive.
