Dear All,

I just moved from England to LA and I'm missing the great atmosphere where I can have my beer and watch & enjoy live football (soccer!!!) all the world will be watching the great final between Chelsea & Man United and I'm hoping to watch it as well not at home but to find a pub near Burbank, Hollywood, even in LA town center.. so I would enjoy the beer with football again..beer at 11:00 am local LA time...

I'm not Chelsea or Man united fan..but I don't hate them.....& I'm not going to tell you my favourite club now....but for sure English football will be my favourite forever...

All the best

Fadi

there are two irish pubs on fairfax, just north, and just south of wilshire. i think the one above wilshire is called tom bergen's, or something similar.

there are several english pubs in santa monica, on the streets off the promenade. sorry, but i don't remember what any are named.

bars in mexican restaurants often have soccer games playing as well.

what's the problem? the guy asked about a place to watch soccer with the thirty other people in LA who like soccer and are old enough to get into a bar. he didn't sound like a whinger to me.

as everyone has said SaMo is hte place. there is a pub that shows most football and rugger games. all you have to do is google santa monica and Pubs. it will bring up quite a variety. or you can yelp the area for bars and see reviews. good luck

I second yelp as far as checking out place before going in. That site is great and it has lots of places reviewed. From famous establishments, to the hole in the wall taco shop on your corner.

If your unfamiliar with a city, or just want to find some new spots, Yelp is your best friend.

It's not a soccer only pub (they play other sports on their 3 TVs), but "The Robin Hood" on Burbank Blvd in Studio City is a great place for a pint, full English breakfast, Sunday dinner, etc etc. They have a bar area and a more formal dining room for a large group. Pub is on the south-east corner of Burbank Blvd cross street is Woodman (exit Woodman off 101 and travel north to Burbank and turn right).

Next door is a British food store, open until 7pm every night. Across the street is "Ireland's 32" pub.
