Greetings:

Looking at a mid July 2 night stay by myself....both hotels are comparably priced for the dates of my visit. Does one stand out vs the other (amenities, rooms, location) .. looks like the Huntley does not have a pool but the beach is nearby.

Thx

Pricing will vary based on view. The Shore has some rooms that are city/garden view (cheaper) and others that are ocean view (more pricey).

At the Huntley you'll get ocean views from about the 9th floor and above. No pool at the Huntley but they also have a bar/restaurant on the top floor that is pretty popular (though currently closed due to Covid).

The Huntley has the advantage of being on a quieter/more residential street but still easy walking distance to everything. The Shore is in the middle of the action (easier walk to beach and pier) but more exposed to noise.

Huntley's restaurant (Penthouse) has incredible views. With any luck it will be reopened by July.

Stayed at both and would go with the Shore. Rooms are nice, walk to everything, and the pool/hot tub. Never had a problem with the noise there. I've also stayed at the JW Marriott, the Viceroy, and the Delfina, but the Shore is my Go To now.
