please help! my next door neighbors (restaurant) they are so loud. they play live dj music til 2am. i have called lapd's nonemergency # numerous times. as soon as they leave its quiet for a bit then there noisy again. aside from the music they also have a large parking lot where the customers hang out. our bedroom window is right next to it. i have emailed our city councilmember and their response is to contact our senior lead officer. everytime we call for a senior lead officer he/she is never available. according to desk officer their normal hours are mon-fri. but our problems are late fri or sat nights. i spoke to the restaurant manager and was told that they have the proper permits to serve/play music til 2am. my neighbors and my family would like to know where we can get info regarding loud noise curfews and petitions.

Businesses playing live music are required to have city permits for use. Many cities do not issue such within certain distances from homes.

Ask to see such permits! They are certainly supposed to be posted in public.

Default Noise complaints

There is no such thing as a noise permit. Noise laws vary by state and city.
Stop boom car noise, motorcycle noise, car alarm noise, barking dog noise, neighbor noise.
