Is there anywhere to park in Hollywood nowadays?

I drove by there a few times, but couldn't find anywhere to park for free, which is why I normally take the train or the bus. Hollywood and Sunset boulevards are always packed.

Isn't Jack in the Box parking limited to customers only?

Don't park in business lots, you will get towed eventually. $1.00 and hour at the meters is not bad. In Chicago they have done away with almost all the meters and now your forced to pay $18.00-UP to park in garages owned by greedy middle easterners... Yeah more info than you needed but L.A. and Hollywood is pretty reasonable with their parking rates compared to many other cities.

I stopped going to Hollywood because of the lack of free parking in the 1990's. All the housing tracts around the clubs became permit only (I can understand why that is, though).

The hollywood/highland public lot is $2.00 for four hours with validation, I was there this morning.

Watched a segment on the news about LA parking. It seems that many of the limo companies, parking services, valet companies block off free parking spaces illegally. Many even place illegal signs in the area, or illegal covers over the parking meeters that inform other drivers that the spot is reserved. Kind of like free parking spaces for them and the unsuspecting driver that wants to park can't. If you see a sign that looks suspect to you, it probably is. Also many times they have people working the street that keep open spots available for the valet services. It is a racket that the city is trying to crack down on.

I have a few "secret" spots in Hollywood that are almost always reliable for free parking, but I intend to keep them a secret. West Hollywood though, forget about finding free parking. It doesn't exist.

We used to park on Selma Ave back in the day. Don't know if you can park there now. In West Hollywood, we used to park a couple blocks south of the clubs on Sunset, but I think that's all permit parking now.
