Actually other states benefit from the state of Louisiana having a Democratic Governor. It means when Governors convene for the Governors Convention, they can work together to push for Federal Legislation, they can learn from each other and promote a more unified and team working citizen base.
One thing about Democrats, is they works toward building unified coalitions of diverse people, where as Republican as we can see from the line up in the debates, they are up pushing one extreme agenda behind the other all in aim to alienate one segment or the other and to marginalize one segment or the other of society.

It's a good thing to have a system of Democratic motivations under Democracy. Done right, we all progress.

You make a valid, legitimate point.

Though, why Louisiana? Louisiana is not a democratic state by any means. The Deep South is far from the left.
