My husband and I moved into a new house in December, we’re from New Orleans but wanted to move out of the city and live in a small community across the lake, and love it. Since it’s Spring and the weather has been fairly nice we have been doing things outside the house, such as minor repairs and yard work. My husband has been fixing up an old shed in the backyard; he repairs cars and has plenty of tools; he fixed the inside over the winter and is finally working on the outside. While he was boarding up the window along the back of the shed he noticed a piece of vinyl, he went to remove it and throw it out and underneath is a huge mass; he’s an Alien File fan and says it’s an alien pod of some sort (I’m sure he’s joking...rather I hope). I don’t really know how to describe it so I took plenty of photos. It’s as hard as can be, he tried using a shovel but had trouble breaking through and moved on to using a mallet and pry bar to break it up. It covers probably a good 2.5 feet in length and 1.5-2 feet wide area; it isn’t porous, rather it’s smooth and appears to have like sections. Out of curiosity, and to sway my husband’s opinion that it’s an “alien pod,” I am hoping to find out what this matter is? I am not sure if I can add the pictures to this thread but I will try; if they do not appear and if anyone might be curious or would like to view the pictures, I will gladly email them. I will try and just post one for now. Ok, I cannot seem to add a picture even using copy & paste; therefore, I will see if I can add a picture to my profile and thanks in advance for reading.

Since I am new to the website and forum, I guess I have to wait to be able to add pictures/albums. As soon as I am able I will add the pictures I have taken of the unidentified mass we unearthed
