Are there any good Country Clubs in the Louisville/Prospect area? I will be visiting some friends in the area and the last time they didn't know of anything so we went to downtown but that style of country club we went to there didn't suit me. Keep in mind I am from Texas (Red Dirt music!).

Do you mean country club as in golfing or country club as in country music? For golf, the Lake Forest Country Club or the Hurstbourne Country Club are very nice, if you mean music club, then the Electric Cowboy on Dixie Hwy is the only one I have heard of and people seem to like it, they do line dancing and stuff there.

Country music is what I am talking about. I am not really the golfing type.

The KY State Fair is from Aug 20 - 30th and there are a couple of free country concerts, and the beer tents have some pretty good bands also. It's at the KY Fair and Expo center, near the airport.
