I don't know if any other members have noticed but in 2010, Louisville Metro parks raised their fees over 150%.

For ANY special events now, they charge at least $175 dollars (was $75 in 2009). These special events (with particpants from zero upwards of 250) are not defined - does this include youth programs, adult softball leagues, family picnics? This is not the shelter costs (that is extra $$$ but could run as high as another $175)

Basically, if more than 1 person decides to hold any event (pickup game?), there is a basic charge of $175. I don't know what our tax dollars do to support the city but it's obvious that city parks are not included. Who is going to enforce these new rules and fees?
Bottom line, it is looking better for us to host small events (under 50) either at private parks (like Bernheim), Southern Indiana parks, or at state parks.
