If Middle Georgia Regional Airport surpasses a benchmark of having more than 10,000 enplanement - that's only counting passengers boarding planes - within a 12 - month period, the airport is eligible for $1 million in federal funds each year for infrastructure improvements. People are not just coming into the Middle Georgia Regional Airport for the Middle Georgia area, but from all over the state of Georgia to board these planes.
