I may or may not receive a job offer from Madison, WI.
But if I do, I wonder what the prospects are for a twenty six year old, heterosexual man.
I hear dating could be a bit difficult for my age, given that most girls in the area are still in college.
Assuming I choose to frequent the bar scene in the downtown area, are there any good chances for me to find a female young professional?

The dating scene is good. If I found a wife in Madison, then anyone can. Being 26 doesn't matter. There will be plenty of women that age. Plus lots of masters/grad students looking for a guy who actually has a job & some money.

If you're in IT and it's with Epic - run the other way.
Otherwise I agree with the other poster.
Best of luck!

I dated very very well from 22-30 when I lived in Madison. It's prime time really.

Every time I drive by Epic, it seems they are really growing. Epic is like a city in itself. Don't know if they are a good place to work for or not.

I know a few people who worked there.
Their business is so specific to their product, that if you're in IT and stay long, you can't parlay your experience to another company and they also want employees to work insane hours.
A current co-worker of mine's husband was in IT and worked there for years.
He wasn't able to transfer his experience there to another IT job and had to switch career paths.
FWIW.

You'll do fine. Madison is friendly and tons of college and new grad-aged folks around here. Most people online date/tinder anyway.
