Hi all! I graduated in 2015 from UW and am considering moving back to Madison. I’m curious what life is like after college in Madison? I work in accounting/finance so I can transfer to Madison within my company, but am not sure if the city has much to offer to single 26 year old guy. I absolutely loved it in college and get excited every time I go there for business but I don’t know what living there would be like. My main draws would be the culture, people, big city by size but small town feel, etc.

If I were to move back, where would you recommend I look for an apartment? I saw some decent options for around $1k per month in Middleton but they had pools and other amenities I don’t really need. I think the plan would be to rent for a year or two, then hopefully buy a place. Any advice would be much appreciated!

I moved there after undergrad (at a school in New England), so I was about 22 or so when I moved there, and hands down, Madison was completely fantastic to live in as a 20 something.

I would live downtown to the near East side. I found the best spots for me, to be in the Caribou Tavern area.
