Hello. I've been looking for rental properties in Aroostock County. I can't find anything at all. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might look??? I currently live in VA and we are looking to move to ME.

Any help would be greatly appreicated. :0)

Hey, thanks so much! I am amazed that the standard of living is so cheap up there. My BF is convinced that it's the ghetto but I keep telling him that it's just really rustic there.

Again, thank you for your help.

You're welcome, it's not the "ghetto"! lol It's rural, housing is pretty affordable, a lot of houses that you can rent.

There's a beautiful Victorian available in New Sweden. It's been on the market for a while and is vacant- the owner will put it up for rent if it doesn't sell soon.

The interior has been all done over, it has been jacked-up and the foundation and sills replaced. All it needs now is a parts of the sofit and facia replaced and a bit of roof work- nothing major, shingles replaced over one part of the porch and a couple of other small spots (not the whole thing). It sits on 5 acres, lots of apple trees. A john Deer tractor goes with it. Furnace and water heater are very recent, as well as a large pellet stove.

You could probably get it for under $170k.
