The two MOA's signed Friday join three others that were recently signed for hotel and university projects. The proposed build-out plan also features retail, commercial, residential, recreation and wellness components.

Lee said the winery is planning to occupy an existing 35,000-square-foot building on the property, while the food co-op, made up of about 15 companies, is looking to invest about $2 million into the former commissary building.

Inside the roughly 40,000-square-foot building, the co-op plans to remodel and bring in new equipment to manufacture and process various foods, such as mushrooms for sauces and fruits for drinks, Lee said.

Chambersburg-based Summit Health will apparently branch into Washington County at the Cascade Town Centre.

JG Business Link International CEO Wonro Lee said Tuesday that his firm is working on a memorandum of understanding with Summit Health regarding the “convergence” of Eastern and Western medicine.

He said Summit Health will be “assisting us with medical services for the site.”
